McGill in TechConnect's 2013 top 20% Innovation Awards

Thomas Szkopek (Electrical and Computer Engineering) and Guillaume Gervais
(Physics) are among the top 20% TechConnect 2013 National & Global Innovation
Awardees
for their work on magnetic cooling in doped semiconductors. It makes use of
the spin entropy present in the doped semiconductors and can be used in
quantum based devices, cryogenic detectors and sensors.
