NASA Telescopes Find Galaxy Cluster with Vibrant Heart

NASA has announced the discovery of a rare galaxy cluster whose center is
bursting with new stars in an article published in the August 20th issue of
the Astrophysical Journal. Tracy Webb, lead author,
explains why this is an unexpected discovery: “Usually, the stars at
the centers of galaxy clusters are old and dead, essentially fossils. But we
think the giant galaxy at the center of this cluster is furiously making new
stars after merging with a smaller galaxy..
