Advances in ultrafast terahertz scanning tunneling
microscopy
Frank Hegmann
Department of Physics University of Alberta
Probing ultrafast phenomena on the nanoscale is essential to our understanding
of excitation dynamics in materials. Terahertz scanning tunneling microscopy
(THz-STM) is a powerful technique that can image sub-picosecond dynamics
in materials at the atomic scale. This talk will discuss recent advances,
current challenges, and future directions of THz-STM.
