Competencies & PhD Careers in the Sciences is a one-hour event tailored to the Department of Physics that is intended to expose students, faculty, and staff to a breadth of career options available to PhDs in the sciences. Exploring current skills trends and PhD employment outcomes data, including a sample of McGill alumni, this session will discuss the skills that link academic work to the next step in the career of a PhD with examples of outcomes. The session will consist of 45 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of Q&A.
