Postdoctoral Positions in High Energy Theory and CosmologyThe McGill University Centre for High Energy Physics invites applications for postdoctoral positions to start in September of 2023. The successful applicant will join an exciting theoretical physics group, including Robert Brandenberger, Simon Caron-Huot, Jim Cline, Keshav Dasgupta, Sarah Harrison, Alexander Maloney, and Katelin Schutz, as well as several postdoctoral researchers. Research in our group covers string theory, field theory, particle phenomenology, astroparticle physics, mathematical physics and cosmology. We have strong ties to the research groups in astrophysics, nuclear theory, condensed matter theory and mathematics. To be considered for a postdoctoral position, applications should be received by November 30th, 2022. To apply, the applicant should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a statement of research interests and at least three letters of recommendation. Applications should be submitted through the academic jobs online website: https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/23225 Several special fellowships exist for exceptional applicants: Applicants who are open to postdoctoral positions which are shared between McGill and another Canadian institution are strongly encouraged to apply for the IPP Connect Postdoctoral Fellowship. This is a 4 year fellowship, where the applicant spends 2 years at each institution. For information on how to apply, please consult the IPP Website. Applicants interested in this program are encouraged to reach out to their prospective postdoctoral supervisor at McGill before submitting an application. Applicants who are interested in cosmology (including superstring cosmology) or astrophysics are encouraged to apply for a CITA National Fellowship and a McGill Space Institute (MSI) fellowship. For information on how to apply, please consult the CITA Webpage and the MSI Application. Applicants whose research area is in mathematical physics are encouraged to apply for a CRM-ISM postdoctoral fellowship to perform research with one of the faculty in our group. For information on how to apply, please consult the CRM Website. McGill University is committed to diversity and equity within its community. We welcome applications from: women, Aboriginal persons, persons with disabilities, ethnic minorities, persons of minority sexual orientation or gender identity, visible minorities, and others who may contribute to diversification. |
