Numerical simulations for the collapse of a rotating cloud with Godunov-type Particle Hydrodynamics

In order to investigate fragmentation as a possible mechanism for binary formation, we have performed numerical simulations of the collapse of a differentially rotating cloud, for which we have developed Godunov-type Particle Hydrodynamics (GPH). GPH prevents particle penetration effectively and is affected by velocity shear less seriously than SPH.
