Astroparticle Physics SeminarMeasuring γ with B → P P P DecaysDavid LondonUniversité de MontréalThe conventional wisdom is that one cannot obtain clean information about the CKM weak phases from 3-body B decays. Recently it was shown that this is not true. In this talk I discuss two ways of cleanly measuring γ with B → PPP decays. One uses an isobar analysis of the B → Kππ and B → KKK Dalitz plots, along with the assumption of flavour SU(3) symmetry. The other uses decays related by U-spin reflection (d ⇔ s), such as B0s → KSπ+π- and B0d → KSK+K-, or B0s → KSK+K- and B0d→KSπ+π-. The theoretical error due to SU(3) or U-spin breaking may be reduced by averaging over the Dalitz plot. Both LHCb and Belle II have made the study of 3-body decays a high priority.
