Conformal blocks for the thermal one-point function

In this talk I will introduce a new type of conformal blocks that describe the contribution from a single scalar conformal family to the thermal expectation value of a scalar primary field. I will discuss how it is possible to compute these blocks directly and how to find the differential equation that they obey by using the conformal Casimir operator. I will finally introduce the dual expression of the blocks as a Witten diagram in AdS space.
