The first result of the MiniBooNE neutrino oscillation experiment

Teppei Katori

Indiana University / Fermilab

The MiniBooNE experiment is a muon neutrino to electron neutrino appearance oscillation experiment. MiniBooNE is designed to search for neutrino oscillations as observed by the LSND experiment at Los Alamos which remains as an unsolved mystery in neutrino physics. First results from the search for this signal will be presented along with descriptions of the neutrino beam, detector, and analysis within a two neutrino appearance-only oscillation model.
