Dark Matter + Sommerfeld Enhancement: Benchmarks for Cosmic Ray Excesses

Tracy Slatyer

Institute for Advanced Study

Measurements of cosmic rays have revealed an intriguing excess of electrons and positrons at weak-scale energies, and motivated models of dark matter with enhanced annihilation at low relative velocities. I will describe benchmark models which naturally and quantitatively explain the puzzling features of the cosmic ray data, while maintaining the correct dark matter relic density. I will discuss bounds on these scenarios from the cosmic microwave background, and their contribution to the extragalactic background light in X-rays and gamma rays.
