Special Physics SeminarExploring massive mysteries with the Top QuarkNedaa-Alexandra AsbahHarvard UniversityRecent results from the ATLAS Collaboration find evidence for the production of four top quarks at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). This rare process provides opportunities to understand the massive top quark's unique relationship to the Higgs boson and offers an exciting window into new theories of physics beyond the Standard Model. The large dataset of the future High-Luminosity (HL)-LHC will allow for unprecedented precision in measurements testing the Standard Model at high energies. Upgrades to the ATLAS detector are underway that will improve measurement performance while coping with increased radiation damage and a high density of particles produced at the HL-LHC.
