Flux compactifications and its application to cosmology

Keshav Dasgupta

UIUC

In recent times, flux compactifications have become very useful to understand various aspects of string theory, noticeably in the areas of string compactifications and cosmological solutions. In this talk I will try to explain how some of the mathematical aspects of flux compactifications can be used to study the inflationary scenario from string theory.
