Physical Society ColloquiumInterview for Faculty PositionSignatures of Dark EnergyJustin KhouryMITThe big surprise of the past decade in cosmology has been the discovery that the universe is currently undergoing cosmic acceleration. This is due to a dark energy component, making up about two thirds of the total energy density. Despite growing amount of data, the nature of this dark energy remains a complete mystery. In this talk I present different models for the dark energy, which, on top of generating late-time acceleration, lead to testable experimental signatures.
